Our Natural Resource Programme offers four study areas: Horse Keeping, Animal Care, Dog, Zoo-keeping and Nature Guide.

All students get qualified teaching close to business life. Subjects, such as Languages and Maths, are an integral part of the chosen study area. Furthermore students attend her/his education within the business world as well as within the classroom. Hence students will get into contact with the leading companies, organisations and people within the current field of study, which will give students a head start when graduating. There are possibilities of studying further no matter study area or to work directly after graduation. All students, except the ones taking Zoo-keeping, can widen their possibilities of studying further by adding Natural Science to their study area. Consequently students are able to study further and are qualified to attend well-nigh whichever study area the student chooses.

Students studying Horse keeping go to a riding school each week and get into contact with trainers helping professional riders and visit important events such as Stockholm Horse Show. Students are also able to become diplomaed grooms and prepared for a working life within the horse keeping business.

If a student study to become a nature guide he/she will be experiencing a wide range of activities and outdoor experiences simultaneously as the student obtains the skill to lead and guide when it comes to ordinary nature experiences or more sporty activities such as: climbing, sea kayaking, skiing, mountain tours or fishing. Students choose one area to specialize in and hence they take the first step towards a certificate required by the business. After Upper Secondary School students are able to work at for example; adventure centres, event companies or mountain facilities. Another option is for the students to study further at for example Campus Åre or Älvdalen or make use of their competence when studying to become a recreation manager or event manager.

If students are interested in animals or more specifically dogs they choose the dog or animal programme. They learn about how animals are taken care of, what different animals there are, feeding, breeding and so much more. We offer a wide range of courses which means that students are able to achieve the certificate which is required in order to start off a zoo shop of her/his own. We also offer a possibility to specialize towards vivarium animals. Students interested in dogs are able to become approved instructors and they are allowed to start off a day care for dogs. After graduation students can study further or work as an animal care taker at a vivarium or a day care center. Students can also work as breeders or at a pet shop.
